Short post..

Hrmm.. been almost a month since I last posted something. Been working hard out. Did about 40+ hours last week. The new uniforms were out, although I prefer the older ones. At least they have catchy phrases i.e., "Take me home, I'm basted", "Chics Rulz" etc. The new ones come only as plain black shirts (below). How boring!! :/ Wonder if it's the same uniforms in KL too? Heard they have to wear a bandana too. Whoa... luckily here no need! hahahaaa...

Aih... fridge ran out of gas... or maybe the compressor brokedwn... not too sure. Luckily my boss allowed me to keep most of my stuff in the nando's fridge! Akekekeke. Hopefully, it will be fixed by tomorrow la.

Xmas is coming soon. Wanted to change the whole layout but feeling kinda lazy at the moment. so maybe when i feel like it... haha!

Ok, time for me to hit the sack. Will write more nxt time. Nite peeps!

"強く 前へ 進め"

Just finished watching a very sad but meaningful Japanese drama called 1リットルの涙 (Ichi Rittoru no Namida) - 1 Litre of Tears. Think I cried almost throughout the whole series. *sobb* The title does live up to its name eh. So be prepared with at least a box of tissues if u decide to watch this heart-warming series! (mum, I think you will use up a whole box of tissue if u ever watch this!)

This beautifully moving drama is based on the real-life struggles of a 15-year-old girl named Kitou Aya who suffered from an incurable disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration (cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the patient cannot walk, speak, write, or eat) when she was 15 years old, but lived life to the fullest until her death at 25. The script is based on the diary that Aya wrote about her struggles and deepest thoughts until the day she could no longer hold a pen. Her diary '1 Litre of Tears' was later published because of its inspiring and courageous messages that makes people happy for the simple fact that they are alive, and gives hope to those who suffers from diseases and also make them think positively about living instead of giving up easily. One of her simplest yet strongest message is "Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing"

Aya was touched by the unconditional love, support and patience shown by her family and friends. She learned to accept her cruel 'fate' by 'living' her life bravely and positively. Her integrity is inspiring, and I really feel humbled by her words and actions. God must have sent her as an Angel to bring hope to those who are sick or those who are struggling to cope with the difficulties in life, to change lives by inspiring each and everyone of us and also to remind us to be thankful for every second that we're alive. So folks, no matter how hard it is or how much hurt you are going through, you just have to be strong and have faith in God and also in those who love and care for you. I'll leave you with a phrase from the main song of this series,
"強く tsuyoku 前へ mae he 進め susume " which means 'Be strong, Go forward, Move ahead'.

One of my favourites!

I took this awesome photo of the motel where my parents and I stayed at Lake Taupo last autumn. Love the sunset view and the colour of the sky at that moment! Our room number was No. 7 too! If you hadn't noticed, I'm using this pic as my background at the mmt. Grey-scale + edge detection= current background. Pretty cool eh? Have yet to learn how to change the the banner of the blog. Been trying for hours!! *sigh*
Jst got back from a staff meeting or rather just a chit chat session. only 6 out of 27 turned up. My boss said that he'll pay us for an hour of "work" for that meeting. Well, that better be true! Wasting my precious time for nothing!
Had dinner at Uncle Tung's with my aunty and cousins. Haven't had a proper dinner for a while now. All due to laziness. Hehe. Instant noodles and canned food are my best friends! :p We had honey pork chop, claypot egg plant with minced pork, beef brisket and deep fried tofu with salt and pepper. It was delicioussss~~ All for only $58 bucks which includes rice & tea! Oh, soup & dessert was on the house too! Looking forward to meeting them again some time this week. Nothing more important than spending time with family members. Missing mum and dad, bro and everyone back home. *sobb....* Hopefully we could all spend some quality time when I'm back next July!
Hmm... the Lilo & Stitch quote keeps running thru my head "Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind. Or forgotten". Such a sweet and meaningful phrase :)

Never underestimate a late night snack!

Felt hungry after work just now. So decided to eat sumthing. Opened my kitchen cabinet and started looking for a “lite” snack. Griffin’s Lemon treats… Rocky road mallow puffs… Tim tams... Just when I decided to go for the mallow puffs… a bar of Snickers caught my eyes. Mmmm… not exactly the perfect “lite” snack… but what the heck! I’ll skip lunch tomorrow! :P
I noticed on the wrapper that they were giving 2 million bars away for FREE across NZ and OZ; Plus AUD$10,000 CASH to be won INSTANTLY!!!! See pic below.

Yeah rite. Zillions sold around NZ and OZ. So I tore one end of it and just when I was about to sink my teeth into it, I saw something…. Something that made my eyes go O_O!!!

OMGGGG!!!! I WONNN!! AHahahahaha~~!! What are the odds!!!!! So, it is true after all... Chinese ppl say that 7 months(premature) babies are very lucky and SMART!! And that's me... THAT'S ME!! Why smart?? Coz out of the snacks i chose the snickers bar and so happen tomorrow is the last day of the draw thingy. Wahahahaaaaaa~~~ Ok.. getting a bit carried away :P Self-praise is no praise... i know, i know. So, all praise to the LORD!! :)))

Anyways, I ripped the wrapper without delay and It says that i have to bring this WINNING wrapper to the participation outlet by 11.59pm 31/10/2006!! And I can get my prize... INSTANTLY!!! I have been pretty lucky all this while... I won a mobile phone after paying my tuition fees with VISA 3 yrs ago... and now this!!! Here's the pic of the wrapper... the "Winning wrapper"!!

YESSS!!!! That's right!! I have won myself A FREE 60g SNICKERS BAR!!!! HAHHAAAA!! Ain't I lucky or wat!!!! :P

Seventh Heaven

Hmm... Wanted to start a blog ages ago but never got around it. Since it's STUDY BREAK and I have some time to kill…I shall blog!! Hahaha. Yea yea... ought to be studying BUT i prefer doin the last minute crammin'! :P

It's 2am and I'm still figuring what to blog. Mind's blank and all i can think of is my bed :P Doubt that I could get up for church tomorrow. Have to work tomorrow from 12-8pm. Another long shift but that means I get more hours, which means more $$!! Ho Ho Ho! I foresee a shopping spree this xmas! :P Talking about xmas, the decorations were already up at Botany Downs last night (place where i work). Seems like we’re all getting ready for the festive season! Will take some pics when the lights are up and post it next time. A bit too early now eh. And I need to learn how to post pics! Haha. Html.... CSS.... bla bla bla~!!

Alrite, enuff of crapping... just wanted to post something for a start. As of the name of my blog, Seventh Heaven means something like when you're on cloud nine or feeling a great amount of joy. Why the name? Hmm... I guess I like the sound of it. Gives me a sense of tranquility when i think of it. And it somehow reminds me of the wonderful times spent together with my family and friends. Those kinda thoughts just make me feel like I'm on seventh heaven!! =) Besides that, my favourite number is '7' and my birthday is in JULY. What a coincidence eh! :P

Okie, it's waaayy past bedtime... and I'm feeling a lil woozy now. Haha. Hopefully I'll blog at least twice a week :P As for now, sleep is first in my priority list! nitey peeps!!
