Hmmm... haven't been getting any proper hugs. Mostly, hugs that kinda say " Don't you dare come too close!!". Maybe I stink...?? hahaaa. Oh well, maybe it's jst not common for some people to hug each other unless there's something depressing happening to that someone or when someone's leaving home for somewhere far. Which is really a nice thing to do... But I guess, hugs can be shared anytime, be it happy or sad, or jst to say hi after a week or more of not seeing one another. You can hug someone after dinner or 'yum cha' to say goodnight, take care, meet up again... somewhere along those lines. hehe. Sometimes, I do miss my friends in NZ because it's just a norm to hug each other when we meet!
Hmm.. maybe tt's why the Free Hugs Campaign started by a guy known as Juan Mann who wanted reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives.

How it all started? He was living in London but had to return to Sydney when things turned upsidedown. When he arrived at the Syd Airport, no one was there to welcome him. No smiles, no welcome hugs. Seeing how others had family and friends welcoming them with smilling faces and hugs, he too wanted that same feeling. So he decided to hold a cardboard with "FREE HUGS" written on both sides at the busiest intersection in the city. Little did he knw that this was the start of something phenomenal! After 15 mins of stares, people started giving him hugs and some even volunteered to give out free hugs. Awesome huh??
